Meet Leo Downey
Musician, author, wilderness guide and rancher. Leo earned his wilderness guiding licence leading vision quests in California’s Sierra Madre and volunteered on the California Condor Recovery Project. In 1998 he moved to the Canadian Rockies, where he raised his family and a herd of buffalo.
Soultracker, the book
Leo’s debut book Soultracker follows his journey as an artist, beginning with the visions he first experienced alone in the wilderness as a teenager: buffalo, condors, rattlesnakes, bears and mountain lions, love, his rock band, and what he learned living close to the land. A second edition is on the way.
